My objective is to be respectful of my patient’s life story and experience. I take a gentle, personable, interactive approach, using evidence based practices and supportive techniques. In addition to individual psychotherapy, I offer group therapy and individual coaching for people caring for someone with dementia.
My office is set up to feel like a living room. The goal is to create a comfortable place to have a conversation. Your job is to be the expert in yourself and your life experiences, my job is to know how to listen and to apply what I know to help you develop greater insight and specific coping strategies.
I am aware that an individual’s challenges often occur in the context of a family or network of other medical professionals. With permission, and with deference to the patient’s privacy and autonomy, I will speak with a spouse or child and/or consult with other providers, as appropriate.
